2024 Pediatric NeuroRecovery Summit Awards

Keith Inman Pediatric NeuroRecovery Community Service Award, and Chris Williams, Sr. Vice President of Communications - Kosair for KidsOn May 9th and 10th, the University of Louisville’s Kosair for Kids Center for Pediatric NeuroRecovery hosted the 4th Pediatric NeuroRecovery Summit. Healthcare professionals, researchers, graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and parents joined together to network and learn from one another, while expanding their knowledge to advance recovery for children with spinal cord injuries.

In appreciation for their commitment to the Kosair for Kids Center for Pediatric NeuroRecovery for over 10 years, the A. Keith Inman Pediatric NeuroRecovery Community Service Award was awarded to Chris Williams, on behalf of Kosair for Kids and Hal Hedley, on behalf of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana. Kosair for Kids has provided over 12 million in grant funds supporting our research infrastructure at UofL and the RMHC-K has been the ‘home-away-from-home’ for many families venturing to UofL and Frazier Rehab for our clinical care or research from 31 states and 9 countries.

The Susan J. Harkema, PhD Pediatric NeuroRecovery Research Award was awarded to Todd Crawford, on behalf of The Todd Crawford Foundation to Cure Paralysis for his ongoing commitment to helping
families travel for research and supporting students
as they conduct research to advance recovery in child
with spinal cord injuries.
