The Team
The Kosair For Kids Center for Pediatric NeuroRecovery consists of a team of professionals with a passion and a purpose for working with children with spinal cord injury as well as other neuromotor conditions. Our blend of expertise from varied disciplines related to neurorecovery and pediatrics contributes to our ability to apply knowledge gained in research to the child in the clinic. Similarly, the experience gained from working with the child in the clinic informs and drives our research agenda. We consider the core of our team to be the children and families that we serve.

Director
Andrea L. Behrman is a Professor within the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Louisville. She also is the Kosair Charities Endowed Chair in Pediatric NeuroRecovery.
As the Director of the Kosair for Kids Center for Pediatric NeuroRecovery within the Kentucky Spinal Cord Injury Research Center, Dr. Behrman provides activity-based therapies to promote recovery from neurologic injury in children and conducts research to inform clinical practice. |
