Non-invasive Spinal Cord Stimulation and Respiratory Plasticity

The goal of this study is to assess the function of the lungs and the muscles we use to breathe after individuals receive respiratory training, spinal stimulation, or a combination of both. We are interested in understanding respiratory impairment after spinal cord injury and how it compares to healthy individuals.

Adult Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Study

The goal of this study is assess the function of the heart and blood vessels, the lungs, the amount of energy the body uses at rest and during exercise in individuals with SCI. Investigators will be looking for changes in the function of these systems in response to activity-based interventions, clinical treatments, during long-term studies, or when comparing non-disabled and SCI participants.
